Looking at the way pollution is increasing, breathing will become even more difficult in the near future. Respiratory and health related diseases will increase. Only plantation can save us from these dangers. Plantation can be done in the name of Van Mahotsav or by planting a plant or tree in the name of our lost relatives. Through this, we can make a small effort to repay the debt of Mother Earth and nature which starts with our birth. Every breath of our life is a debt of nature on us.

Launch of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign and Van Mahotsav in Kota

In response to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's call, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla launched the 'Van Mahotsav' (Forest Festival) in Kota under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. On Monday, he planted trees in the Mukundra sanctuary area on Rawatbhata Road.

On this occasion, Shri Birla urged everyone to take collective responsibility as guardians of nature and to plant trees. He said Kota is a vibrant and aware city that has shown exemplary strength in times of crisis and disaster. Now, it's time to make Kota the cleanest, most beautiful, and greenest city through a people's movement.

Increasing level of Air Quality Index concerning

Shri Birla expressed concern over the increasing level of Air Quality Index (AQI) in Kota. To fight this challenge and secure the future of our children, it's our collective moral responsibility to protect nature, he said. He further said, our culture worships nature, and Rajasthan is a land that has sacrificed lives to protect trees. Today, we need determination, not sacrifice, he added.

Inspire children for plantation

You may see a group of people standing together during the event. These peoples have deep love and regard for the nature and tree culture.

Shri Birla requested teachers to motivate students to plant trees and take care of them. This will create a positive competition for environmental conservation. He said PM Modi's message of Mission LiFE (LiFEStyle For Environment) for an environment-friendly lifestyle and ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign are inspiration for all of us.

Take inspiration from citizens like Bajarang Lal

Shri Birla mentioned Kota resident Bajarang Lal, who single-handedly plants and protects trees on the roadside. His dedication is an inspiration for all, he said. During the ceremony, forest department employees who made outstanding contributions to tree plantation and environmental conservation were honoured.

Massive turnout for tree plantation

During the Van Mahotsav, people, social organizations, and activists showed great enthusiasm for tree plantation. 10,000 plants were planted at the venue, and 25,000 plants were planted across the district. The sense of ownership and connection with nature was evident among the people.

कृत्रिम बुद्धिमता तो अब कहीं जा के दुनिया के सामने आई है लेकिन भारत में जो असली और सच्ची बौद्धिक क्षमता रही उसे सदियों पहले भी दुनिया जानती भी थी और मानती भी थी। इस संबंध नाम और बहुत से हवाले इतिहास में छुपे पड़े हैं। भारत विश्व गुरु ही था। अखंड ही था। इसके खिलाफ चली गई साज़िशों में सबसे अधिक नुक्सान अपने ही गद्दारों पहुंचाया था। इसके बावजूद उसकी निशानियां अभी बाकी हैं और उस क्षमता के बीज फिर से अपनी मौजूदगी का अहसास करवाने लगे हैं।  इसका ध्यान आया दिल्ली में आयोजित आराधना आयोजन को देख कर। इस पर हमारी टीम के सभी सदस्यों को गर्व हुआ कि आज भी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम 'आराधना' वरिष्ठ नागरिक कलाकारों का सम्मान करते हुए भारत की समृद्ध परंपराओं का जश्न मनाता है।  

सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय ने आज नई दिल्ली में एक भव्य सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम 'आराधना' की मेजबानी की। थीम 'सेलिब्रेटिंग ग्रेसफुल एजिंग - लाइफ बिगिन्स एट 60', इस कार्यक्रम ने वरिष्ठ नागरिक कलाकारों के योगदान पर प्रकाश डाला, सक्रिय उम्र बढ़ने और अंतर-पीढ़ीगत एकजुटता के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। 60 वर्ष और उससे अधिक आयु के कलाकारों द्वारा किए गए प्रदर्शन ने भारत की परंपराओं और इसके बुजुर्ग नागरिकों के बीच गहरे सांस्कृतिक संबंधों को सामने लाया, जो लंबे समय से देश की समृद्ध कलात्मक विरासत के संरक्षक रहे हैं।

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत औपचारिक दीप प्रज्ज्वलन, पारंपरिक मंगलाचरण और राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुई। इस अवसर पर केंद्रीय सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय के राज्य मंत्री श्री बी.एल. वर्मा मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित थे। एनजीओ अनुग्रह की अध्यक्ष डॉ. आभा चौधरी ने दर्शकों का स्वागत किया, गुरु शिष्य परंपरा को बढ़ावा देने में कार्यक्रम के महत्व पर जोर दिया और उन लोगों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की जिन्होंने भारतीय कला रूपों को संरक्षित करने में अपना जीवन बिताया है।

अपने सम्बोधन में श्री बी.एल. वर्मा ने भारत की सांस्कृतिक पहचान को बनाए रखने में वरिष्ठ नागरिकों की आवश्यक भूमिका के बारे में बात की। उन्होंने टिप्पणी की, “हमारी सांस्कृतिक पहचान का सार हमारे बुजुर्गों के ज्ञान और बुद्धिमत्ता के गहराई से निहित है। 'आराधना' सिर्फ उम्र बढ़ने का उत्सव नहीं है, बल्कि भारत की परंपराओं और सांस्कृतिक मूल्यों को बनाए रखने में हमारे वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के कालातीत योगदान के लिए एक श्रद्धांजलि है। मंत्री ने वरिष्ठ नागरिकों को समाज में सक्रिय रूप से जुड़े रहने तथा सम्मान, प्रतिष्ठा और सुरक्षा के साथ जीवन जीने हेतु मंत्रालय के व्यापक प्रयासों को भी रेखांकित किया।

शाम के कार्यक्रम में मनमोहक प्रस्तुतियाँ हुईं जिसने दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। सबसे यादगार क्षणों में से एक पंडित साजन मिश्रा द्वारा भावपूर्ण गायन था, जिसने भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत की स्थायी सुंदरता का प्रदर्शन किया। गुरु रंजना गौहर का ओडिसी नृत्य प्रदर्शन भी उतना ही मंत्रमुग्ध करने वाला था, जिसमें अभिव्यंजक कहानी कहने और पारंपरिक नृत्य आंदोलनों का मिश्रण था, जिसने शास्त्रीय भारतीय कला की कालातीत कृपा को दर्शाया। इस कार्यक्रम में पूरे भारत के लोक नृत्यों का एक जीवंत समूह भी प्रदर्शित हुआ, जो देश की कलात्मक परंपराओं की विविधता और इन परंपराओं को बनाए रखने में वरिष्ठ कलाकारों की अभिन्न भूमिका का प्रतीक है।

पूरे आयोजन के दौरान, गणमान्य व्यक्तियों ने समाज के मूल्यों को आकार देने में उनके महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को स्वीकार करते हुए, वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के लिए सम्मान और देखभाल को बढ़ावा देने के महत्व पर परिलक्षित किया। स्वास्थ्य, वित्तीय सुरक्षा और सामाजिक समावेशन कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से वरिष्ठ नागरिकों का समर्थन करने के लिए मंत्रालय की निरंतर प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि की गई, 'आराधना' ने इन प्रयासों को उजागर करने के लिए एक प्रमुख मंच के रूप में कार्य किया।

कार्यक्रम का समापन वरिष्ठ कलाकारों के सम्मान के साथ हुआ, जिन्हें भारत की सांस्कृतिक विरासत को संरक्षित और बढ़ावा देने के लिए उनके आजीवन समर्पण के लिए सम्मानित किया गया। सुश्री मोनाली धकाते, संयुक्त सचिव (डीओएसजेई) के धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव ने सभी प्रतिभागियों का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए और कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में सहयोगात्मक प्रयास को स्वीकार करते हुए कार्यक्रम को समाप्त किया।

सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए गहराई से प्रतिबद्ध है कि वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के योगदान को महत्व दिया जाता रहे और वे सामाजिक तथा सांस्कृतिक दोनों क्षेत्रों में सक्रिय रूप से लगे रहकर सम्मान और संतुष्टि का जीवन जी सकें।

पूरी दुनिया देखेगी कि भारत एक बार फिर से पूरी दुनिया के सामने विश्व गुरु के तौर पर ही उभर कर सामने आएगा। युवा पीढ़ी जितना ज़्यादा  बज़ुर्गों का सम्मान करेगी उसे  ही अधिक फल भी मिलेगा।

एक पेड़ माँ के नाम: 80 करोड़ पौधे रोपे गए

मात्र एक घंटे में 5 लाख पौधा रोपण का रिकॉर्ड!

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर, प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने 'एक पेड़ माँ के नाम' अभियान की शुरुआत की थी। यह अभियान पर्यावरण के प्रति अपना दायित्व निभाने के साथ-साथ माताओं के प्रति श्रद्धा और समर्पण भाव दर्शाने की एक अनूठी पहल है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने 5 जून, 2024 को दिल्ली के बुद्ध जयंती पार्क में पीपल का पौधा लगाकर इस अभियान की शुरुआत की थी। प्रधानमंत्री ने पर्यावरण को बेहतर बनाने के लिए सामूहिक प्रयासों के महत्व पर ज़ोर दिया और पिछले एक दशक में भारत के वन क्षेत्र में हुई प्रगति का उल्लेख किया। उन्होंने कहा कि यह अभियान देश के सतत विकास की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है!

'एक पेड़ माँ के नाम' एक संकेतिक भाव है – अपनी माँ के नाम पर एक पेड़ लगाने का उद्देश्य जहां, जीवन को पोषित करने में माताओं की भूमिका का सम्मान करना है, वहीं अपने ग्रह को स्वस्थ बनाए रखने में अपना योगदान देना भी है। पेड़ जीवन को बनाए रखते हैं और एक माँ की तरह ही पोषण, सुरक्षा और भविष्य प्रदान करते हैं। ‘एक पेड़ मां के नाम’ पहल के माध्यम से, कोई भी व्यक्ति एक पेड़ लगाकर अपनी माता को एक जीवंत श्रद्धांजलि और एक स्थायी स्मृति भेंट कर सकता है, इसके साथ ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण की आवश्यकता को भी पूरा किया जा सकता है।

80 करोड़ पौधा रोपण

पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय ने सितंबर 2024 तक 'एक पेड़ माँ के नाम' अभियान के तहत 80 करोड़ पौधे लगाने के अपने लक्ष्य को सफलतापूर्वक पूरा किया। यह लक्ष्य तय समय सीमा से 5 दिन पहले यानी 25 सितंबर 2024 को ही हासिल कर लिया गया। मंत्रालय की यह उपलब्धि सरकारी एजेंसियों, स्थानीय समुदायों और विभिन्न हितधारकों के सहयोग और प्रयासों का परिणाम है।

5 लाख से ज़्यादा पौधे लगाने का विश्व रिकॉर्ड

22 सितंबर 2024 को, पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय के तहत प्रादेशिक सेना की 128 इन्फैंट्री बटालियन और पारिस्थितिकी कार्य बल इकाई ने सिर्फ़ एक घंटे में 5 लाख से ज़्यादा पौधे लगाकर एक उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि हासिल की। ​​जैसलमेर में "विशेष पौधारोपण अभियान" के अंतर्गत यह शानदार उपलब्धि, प्रधानमंत्री के "एक पेड़ माँ के नाम" और प्रादेशिक सेना की पहल, "भागीदारी और ज़िम्मेदारी" का हिस्सा थी, जिसका उद्देश्य पारिस्थितिकी को यथास्थिति में बनाए रखना और स्थानीय समुदायों के बीच पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना था। प्रादेशिक सेना की इकाई के इन प्रयासों को वर्ल्ड बुक ऑफ़ रिकॉर्ड्स, लंदन द्वारा निम्नलिखित विश्व रिकॉर्ड के साथ मान्यता दी गई :

एक घंटे में एक टीम द्वारा लगाए गए सबसे ज़्यादा पौधे।

एक घंटे में महिलाओं की एक टीम द्वारा लगाए गए सबसे ज़्यादा पौधे।

एक ही स्थान पर एक साथ सबसे अधिक संख्या में लोगों द्वारा पौधारोपण।

वर्ल्ड बुक ऑफ रिकॉर्ड्स के प्रतिनिधियों की मौजूदगी ने यह सुनिश्चित किया कि वृक्षारोपण को सावधानीपूर्वक सत्यापित और प्रमाणित किया गया था और इस उपलब्धि के लिए पारिस्थितिकी कार्य बल को पुरस्कार भी दिया गया। यह वृक्षारोपण अभियान, "जो लोग पेड़ों की रक्षा करते हैं, वे संरक्षित हैं," आदर्श वाक्य का सर्वोत्तम उदाहरण है और जो भविष्य की पीढ़ियों की भलाई के लिए पर्यावरण संरक्षण के महत्व की पुष्टि भी करता है।

मंत्रालयों के सामूहिक प्रयास

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के आह्वान के अनुरूप, विभिन्न मंत्रालयों ने ‘एक पेड़ मां के नाम’ अभियान में उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। प्रत्येक मंत्रालय और विभाग का इस पहल में पर्याप्त योगदान सततता, हरित आवरण वृद्धि और सार्वजनिक जुड़ाव को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सामूहिक प्रतिबद्धता को प्रदर्शित करता है।

रक्षा मंत्रालय ने इस अभियान के तहत स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर 15 लाख पौधे लगाने की राष्ट्रव्यापी पहल की घोषणा की। इस प्रयास में भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों, रक्षा सार्वजनिक उपक्रमों, राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर (एनसीसी) और अन्य संबद्ध निकायों ने एक हरित और स्वस्थ भारत के निर्माण के लिए अपना महत्‍वपूर्ण सहयोग दिया।

कोयला मंत्रालय में सचिव श्री वी.एल. कांथा राव ने मंत्रालय द्वारा चलाए जा रहे पर्यावरणीय स्थिरता प्रयासों के हिस्से के रूप में मिलेनियम पार्क में एक पौधा रोपण अभियान का आयोजन किया। पिछले कुछ वर्षों में कोयला और लिग्नाइट क्षेत्र में सार्वजनिक उपक्रमों द्वारा लगाए गए पौधे खनन क्षेत्रों में कार्बन के प्रभाव को कम करने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे रहे हैं।

इसके अतिरिक्त, सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय की ओर से चलाए गए पौधा रोपण अभियान के अंतर्गत देश भर में शहरी और ग्रामीण स्थानों पर लगभग 7,000 पौधे लगाए गए हैं। अगस्त के मध्य में चलाए गए इस अभियान का उद्देश्य 17 सितंबर से 1 अक्टूबर, 2024 तक चलने वाले 'स्वच्छता ही सेवा' अभियान के दौरान पौधा रोपण के प्रयासों में तेज़ी लाना है।

केंद्रीय आयुष राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) और स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण राज्य मंत्री श्री प्रतापराव जाधव ने अपनी मां की याद में आंवले का पौधा लगाकर इस अभियान में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। इस अभियान के महत्व का उल्लेख करते हुए श्री प्रतापराव ने कहा कि यह पहल अपनी मां और धरती माता दोनों के प्रति अपने प्रेम को व्यक्त करने का एक अनोखा ढंग है।  

कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण राज्य मंत्री श्री भागीरथ चौधरी ने हैदराबाद के राष्ट्रीय कृषि विस्तार प्रबंधन संस्थान में आयोजित किए गए एक वर्चुअल कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से ‘एक पेड़ माँ के नाम’ अभियान में भाग लिया। इसके अलावा, कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण विभाग ने अपने विभिन्न कार्यालयों और अधीनस्थ निकायों को पौधा रोपण के इस व्यापक अभियान में शामिल किया।

कॉरपोरेट मामलों के मंत्रालय और सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्रालय के राज्य मंत्री श्री हर्ष मल्होत्रा ​​ने ‘एक पेड़ माँ के नाम’ और स्वच्छता ही सेवा 2024 अभियान के तहत नई दिल्ली के कोटा हाउस में पौधा रोपण अभियान में भाग लिया। मंत्रालय के अधिकारियों ने सरकार के पर्यावरण संरक्षण और स्वच्छ भारत के व्यापक दृष्टिकोण के अनुरूप बड़े पैमाने पर सफाई अभियान भी चलाया।

इस अभियान से प्रेरित होकर कौशल विकास और उद्यमिता मंत्रालय (एमएसडीई) ने श्री जयंत चौधरी के नेतृत्व में अपने संस्थानों में व्यापक पौधा रोपण गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया। प्रधानमंत्री कौशल केंद्रों (पीएमकेके), राष्ट्रीय उद्यमिता और लघु व्यवसाय विकास संस्थान (एनआईईएसदीयूडी), औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों (आईटीआई), राष्ट्रीय कौशल प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों (एनएसटीआई) और जन शिक्षण संस्थानों (जेएसएस) में 11,778 से अधिक पौधे लगाए गए। मंत्रालय के प्रयासों का उद्देश्य कौशल विकास के साथ पर्यावरण चेतना को एकीकृत करना, छात्रों, प्रशिक्षकों और स्थानीय आबादी के बीच समुदाय और स्थिरता की भावना को बढ़ावा देना था।

पेयजल और स्वच्छता विभाग तथा आवास और शहरी मामलों के मंत्रालय के नेतृत्व में स्वच्छता ही सेवा 2024 अभियान ने सफाई और हरित आवरण वृद्धि पर जोर दिया। इस राष्ट्रव्यापी अभियान के हिस्से के रूप में पौधा रोपण से एक स्वच्छ और हरित भारत के प्रति सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता को बल मिला है। भारतीय सेना, भारतीय वायु सेना, सीमा सुरक्षा बल, गैर-सरकारी संगठन संकलपतरु और स्थानीय समुदायों आदि सभी एजेंसियों की भागीदारी ने इस अभियान की पहुंच और प्रभाव को बढ़ावा दिया।

तकनीकी प्रोत्साहन: ‘एक पेड़ माँ के नाम’ ऐप

इस पहल को बढ़ावा देने के लिए, केंद्रीय संचार और पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र विकास मंत्री श्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया ने ‘एक पेड़ माँ के नाम’ ऐप की शुरुआत की। यह ऐप उपयोगकर्ताओं को अपनी माताओं के सम्मान में एक पेड़ लगाने और समर्पित करने संबंधी फोटो अपलोड करने, स्थान टैगिंग और कार्बन क्रेडिट ट्रैकिंग जैसी सुविधाएँ प्रदान करता है। इस ऐप के माध्यम से उपयोगकर्ता अपनी मां के लिए लगाए पेड़ को बढ़ता हुआ देखने के साथ पर्यावरण संरक्षण से जुड़े रह सकते हैं।

ऐप का उपयोगकर्ता-अनुकूल इंटरफ़ेस पर्यावरण संरक्षण में सक्रिय भागीदारी को प्रोत्साहित करने में सक्षम है। इस ऐप के माध्यम से उपयोगकर्ता पेड़ लगाकर, उसकी फोटो सोशल मीडिया पर साझा करके अन्य लोगों को भी इस सार्थक प्रयास से जुड़ने के लिए प्रेरित कर सकते हैं।

हरित भविष्य के लिए एक दृष्टिकोण

'एक पेड़ माँ के नाम' अभियान भारत की स्थायी और पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक भविष्य के लिए प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है। पर्यावरण संरक्षण के आह्वान और माताओं के प्रति सम्मान की भावना के साथ यह पहल नागरिकों को एक हरित ग्रह बनाने में अपना योगदान देने का अवसर प्रदान करती है।

इस अभियान की सफलता पूरे देश में लोगों को अपनी माताओं के सम्मान में एक पेड़ लगाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने की भावना में निहित है। यह अभियान न सिर्फ प्रकृति और मातृत्व की पोषण शक्ति के सम्मान का प्रतीक है, बल्कि भविष्य की पीढ़ियों के लिए एक स्वस्थ और टिकाऊ विश्व का आश्वासन भी है।

Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Shri Chirag Paswan addressed the Valedictory Ceremony of the two-day Global Food Regulators Summit 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, here today. Hosted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the summit featured insightful dialogues and discussions aimed at fostering international collaboration and knowledge-sharing on food safety and regulatory issues.

Addressing the session, Shri Chirag Paswan said, “It is our responsibility to ensure food safety along with food security. We should aim not only to maintain the quality of our food but also to explore ways to enhance its value.” Shri Paswan congratulated FSSAI for organizing the global summit which saw a massive participation of national and international food regulators and other stakeholders.  “The diversity of our food systems is truly remarkable—this is the essence of India. We need to brainstorm ways to transform this rich abundance into meaningful opportunities,” he added.

Dr. V K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog, in his special address commended the Eat Right India movement of FSSAI. He said, “I'm very proud that our nation has the Eat Right Movement. I urge all of you to join the movement of the Eat Right India Jan Andolan and engage in behavioural change.”

Earlier in the day, Smt Anupriya Patel, Hon’ble Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers, delivered the Presidential Address at the Regional Conclave which was held as a parallel session. She emphasized on unity and collaboration between countries to elevate the role of regional countries in shaping food safety standards globally. She also shed light on the crucial role played by FSSAI in aligning the national food safety standards of India to that of Codex norms.

India hosted the Regional Conclave aimed at enhancing collaboration and harmonization within the Codex Alimentarius Commission’s standard-setting process. This is the first time that a Regional Conclave has been organized outside the headquarters of Codex in Rome. It provided a dedicated platform for Asian countries to discuss food safety, trade, and regulatory challenges unique to the region.

Ms Punya Salila Srivastava, Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare delivered the keynote address at the occasion.

Shri G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, FSSAI CEO provided an overview of the discussions held during the two-day event. He expressed gratitude to both national and international delegates for their invaluable contributions and expertise during the discussions.

The second day of the summit saw insightful discussions on critical subjects like residue and contaminant monitoring systems, new-age analysis in food-testing, addressing hidden hunger through fortification and impact of animal feed on food safety and human health. The summit was inaugurated on 20th September 2024 (Friday), by Shri JP Nadda, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare. It brought together food regulators from around the world to exchange perspectives and knowledge on crucial issues related to food safety systems and regulatory frameworks throughout the food value chain.

Various initiatives including Food Import Rejection Alerts (FIRA)- an online portal for notification of food import rejections at Indian borders and FICS 2.0 – an advanced website for the Food Import Clearance System, were launched during the Summit. A millets recipe show ‘Flavours of Shree Anna – Sehat aur Swaad Ke Sang’ was also launched during the inauguration ceremony. The release of the State Food Safety Index (SFSI) 2024, an annual report evaluating the food safety performance of Indian states and union territories, was also a highlight of the event.

The Summit brought together delegates from over 70 countries, including Food safety regulators and those from Risk Assessment Authorities, Research Institutes and Universities who discussed and strategized on key regulatory issues. It highlighted India’s commitment to leading global efforts in enhancing food safety standards and ensuring food security. It set off dialogue on critical aspects such as food safety, risk assessment, analytical competence, and capacity-building initiatives, which impact the food safety ecosystem worldwide.

Ms Inoshi Sharma, Executive Director, FSSAI and senior officials of the Union Health Ministry were present at the event.

Indian Navy's Mission Deployed Platforms performed its skill and power

Indian Navy's Mission Deployed platforms responded swiftly to a maritime incident in Arabian Sea involving a hijacking attempt onboard Liberia Flagged bulk carrier. The vessel had sent a message on UKMTO portal indicating boarding by approximately five to six unknown armed personnel in the evening on 04 Jan 24.

Responding swiftly to the developing situation, Indian Navy launched a Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) and has diverted INS Chennai deployed for Maritime Security Operations to assist the vessel.

The aircraft overflew the vessel on early morning of 05 Jan 24 and established contact with the vessel, ascertaining the Safety of the crew.

Naval aircraft continues to monitor movement and INS Chennai is closing the vessel to render assistance.

The overall situation is being closely monitored, in coordination with other agencies/ MNF in the area.

The Indian Navy remains committed to ensuring safety of merchant shipping in the region along with international partners and friendly foreign countries

Offices are not run from rooftops, BJP Kisan Morcha's National Secretary and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's JANTA DARBAR which ended in a chaos at New Delhi today. In a press statement here, he said that it's over lack of mature Governance, such meetings do not happen on the streets or the rooftops of offices. Grewal said that public hearings are the part of " Good Governance " but there are some method to these meetings or DARBARS. He said that there will be a purpose and there will be a place also for these public meetings or DARBAR. Grewal said that it's clear that is all about mature Governance, also about experienced Governance that is what for this  is lacking of DARBAR. National BJP Leader from Punjab, Grewal as soon of the news about chaos at the JANTA DARBAR broke, said for God sake to Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers offices are not run from rooftops, to solve public complaints there will to take time to listen them, to absorb them and after that take considered decisions for solutions. He said that according to news coming from public, media and witness from Delhi, at that time that Delhi's Newly formed AAP Government very much talked about their first JANTA DARBAR outside the Delhi Secretariat office today chaos and mismanagement which forced Arvind Kejriwal to leave the venue midway as hundreds jostled with each other to register their grievances. After that Arvind Kejriwal also admitted that, if he had not left the meeting midway, there could have been a stampede there in today DARBAR.
